Tiger JNP-S10U 5.5 Cup Rice Cooker Review

With Tiger JNP-S10U 5.5 Cup Rice, you can easily get down to the basics of cooking white rice. This kitchen appliance is an ideal unit without the need of high-tech rice cooker models. Through the features of this product, you can’t go wrong with it.

In Japan, Tiger is a recognized brand but not so much in the US. Tiger’s rice cooker models can last more than 20 years, which is very uncommon these days. The longevity of the brand truly speaks volume about its models’ quality and durability.

Here are the top reasons you might want to consider this model:

Keeps rice warm up to 12 hours

This ensures that you’ll have warmer rice after 12 hours of cooking it. Unlike other rice cookers, this one won’t dry out or burn the rice even if it is on for 12 hours.

With non-stick inner pan

The non-stick bowl allows the rice to be evenly cooked. It can avoid drying out while it keeps the rice warm for several hours or until you’re ready to eat it.

No boiling over

Many rice cooker users complained of their units boiling over. But this is not a problem with this model as it hardly ever boils over, unless you use more liquid, then you’re pushing its capacity.

Has washable steam vent

This makes it easy for you to clean up. And because it’s a non-stick unit, you can put it in a dishwasher.

Includes spatula and measuring cup for rice

The plastic spatula that comes with this model makes it easier for you to scoop up cooked rice. With it, you can avoid scratching the surface of the pan. You can also make an accurate measurement of your rice through its included measuring cup.

Larger capacity

This is especially great if you have a larger family to feed every day. It can easily cook enough rice to supply your family with cooked rice, regardless of how busy you are.

Tiger has a reputation of manufacturing rice cookers that can last for years or decades. With this model, you can expect it to last for 20 years or even more as long as you know how to maintain it.

With steaming function

This is a wonderful feature especially if you like steaming vegetables, seafood and other foods. You can just put the items on the tray while the rice is cooking; thereby, helping you in saving time and reducing power consumption.

It’s easy for you to store it when not in use. With its lighter weight, it can be an ideal rice cooker for those who ride in a recreational vehicle.

This rice cooker is one of the best on the market considering its durability and features. It can cook cups of rice that can stay moist and fluffy for several hours. Plus, it comes with non-stick pan making it easier and quicker for you to clean it up.

Although it has a steaming function, it doesn’t come with a steaming tray. This means that you’ll have to purchase it separately. But a steaming tray will only cost you around $2 so that won’t significantly add up to the entire cost of owning a rice cooker with a steamer using Tiger’s JNP-S10U 5.5.
